We’re starting 2025 with a quick look back to November last year and the Mix Awards North.
It’s an amazing feeling when not one, but two of the projects you worked on were selected finalists and then winners.
SpaceInvader’s designs for the wonderful eco-friendly amenity spaces at Eden New Bailey, Manchester, won project of the year in the ‘Positive Impact’ category. J Carey Design’s extensive R&D and Prototyping services helped bring to life the stunning lighting element shown here; from sourcing the right, locally sourced, sustainable material and precision machining it, through to suspension without movement. This is all part of our service.
Is there something in your up coming project we can resolve with you?
MLA and Contagious’ beautiful celebration of a building’s history at Rosebank Distillery, Falkirk, won project of the year in the ‘Public Sector and Cultural Interiors’ category. Knowing the design team wished to retain as many listed buildings as possible, J Carey Design set out to support this endeavour by reclaiming as many of the original timbers on site for specific use on the project. Over 2300 meters of timber were, dried, re worked in-house and re-fitted on site.
